Implementation Planner - The Process
THE FOUR STEP SOLUTION TO ISO 45001 COMPLIANCE

PLAN, DO, CHECK, ACT
STEP 1

The Plan, Do, Check, Act process used by ISO 45001 provides the basis for the Implementation Planner.  You will be supplied with our guide to the requirements, which explains each clause in plain language.  Using this and the definitions of Plan, Do, Check, Act, you simply select what stage your Occupational Health and Safety Management System performance has reached for each of the 33 clauses.

The benefit of this approach is that your report details the next step in the PDCA progression.  This helps you make achievable progress, rather than leaving you a large gap that's too burdensome for your organisation to bridge.

For example, if you have not started implementing a clause the ultimate goal of achieving compliance with that clause can seem daunting, particularly to top management.  This may deter them from moving to adopt ISO 45001.

Our system aligns with the format of PDCA as used by other Integrated Management Standards, such as ISOs 9001, 14001 and 27001.  If you are already working to these other standards you will find our process facilitates easy transition to ISO 45001.

STEP 2

The Plan, Do, Check, Act Process
The stages of this process are defined for you in the Implementation Planner.
Our guide which is included with the Implementation Planner provides an explanation of each clause.  You determine which stage (status) you have reached  in your organisation for each clause.  If you are uncertain about your stage the default position is to choose the lower order, e.g. if uncertain about having achieved “do” choose “plan”.  This creates a realistic picture for you and others in your organisation to understanding your compliance status.  This is a key requirement of the Standard.

Based on your status we create your response report with detailed actionable steps to reach the next step.  This status will also determine your benchmark against other similar organisations.  We send a benchmark statement together with your response report.

RESPONSES & SOLUTIONS
STEP 3

The Plan, Do, Check, Act Process
Following the submission of your status in Step 2 we assess your performance for each clause.  Based on this our experts create your response report showing your current position and what actions will need to be implemented to reach the next step.
For instance if you state "Plan", the report details actions required to achieve the "Do" stage.
The actionable guidance can be "pasted" into your organisation's improvement plan documentation.  This will enable you to allocate the necessary resources, methodologies and time-scales appropriate to your organisation.

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU ACHIEVE COMPLIANCE
STEP 4

The Plan, Do, Check, Act Process

The Implementation Planner will provide most organisations with their road-map of what they need to do to achieve ISO 45001.  We can further help with on-line consultancy (either email or web conferencing), to supply support and guidance where needed.

In addition we provide an on-line audit service which enables organisations to submit evidence of their performance.  We assess this and if successful we supply a report to verify compliance.  This report together with evidence of the internal audit outcome may be used to self declare achieving ISO 45001 (known as a first party audit).  This information will also provide the necessary evidence for Second or Third party auditing.

ISO 45001 requires those organisations within a supply chain to conform to the client's requirements.  Our Implementation  system is ideal to assess the occupational health and safety management systems of contractors and suppliers, which will highlight any required changes to achieve alignment.  This method can be used as a pre-qualification process for those organisations seeking to procure services.

BUY THE IMPLEMENTATION PLANNER

This system will provide you with the actions you need to include in your implementation plan, based on our assessment of your current performance.  Our experts develop a report unique to your organisation of the "how to" actions for each clause.

The expert analysis we provide you with will show you what your necessary next step is on the Plan, Do, Check, Act process established within the Standard.
These next steps are designed to be readily achievable to reflect your organisation's capacity to improve rather than being "a step too far".  Within 48 hours you will be provided with your report detailing your next steps which are the cornerstones of your improvement plan.

Our Guide, which is an easy to understand practical interpretation of the requirements of each clause is provided for you.  In addition you will be sent a report showing your current performance bench-marked to others (your name and others are withheld) endeavouring to achieve ISO 45001.
